Free printable volleyball score sheet, ready in seconds. Type the event, the two teams and their rosters, choose best of 3 or best of 5, and print a clean score sheet with line-up boxes, running score, timeouts and substitutions for every set. Leave the fields empty for a blank volleyball score sheet to fill in by hand.
What’s on the score sheet
- Header: event or league, date and time, court and both team names.
- One block per set for each team: the line-up (serving order I to VI), two timeout boxes, six substitution boxes (player in / player out) and a running score from 1 to 25. The deciding set runs to 15.
- Team rosters with jersey numbers and names, pre-filled if you type them above.
Best of 3 fits on one page. Best of 5 prints on two pages, with sets 4 and 5, the rosters and signature lines on the second.
How to keep score in volleyball
- Before the set, write each coach’s line-up in boxes I to VI. Box I is the first server; the others serve in order after each side-out.
- Mark who serves first (A or B) at the top of the set.
- Every point, cross out the next number in the running score of the team that won the rally. With rally scoring, every rally is a point, whoever served.
- Timeouts and subs: tick a TO box when a team calls a timeout, and write “in/out” jersey numbers for each substitution.
- End of the set: sets go to 25 (15 in the deciding set) and must be won by 2. Write the final score at the top of the block and circle the winner.
Need the rotations for the line-up? Make them with the volleyball rotation sheet maker and copy the serving order into boxes I–VI, and print the lineup sheet slips for the scorer. For a tournament day, schedule pool play with the round robin generator and print one score sheet per match.
Volleyball score sheet example
Team A wins set 1 25–21. The scorer has crossed out 1 to 25 in Team A’s running score and 1 to 21 in Team B’s, ticked one Team B timeout at 18–12, and written “14 / 7” in Team A’s first substitution box when number 14 replaced number 7. At the top of the block: first serve A, final score A 25, B 21.
