Free printable basketball score sheet for youth, school and rec league games. Type the event, both teams and their rosters, choose quarters or halves and 12 or 15 players, and print a score sheet with personal fouls, points by period, team fouls, timeouts and a running score to 160. Leave it empty for a blank basketball score sheet.
What’s on the score sheet
- Header: event or league, date and time, court and team names.
- A table for each team with jersey number, player, five personal foul boxes, points per quarter (or half) and overtime, and total points.
- Team fouls per period, so you know when the bonus starts, and timeout boxes.
- Running score from 1 to 160 for both teams, plus the final score and signature lines.
How to keep score in basketball
- Before tip-off, fill in both rosters with jersey numbers. Typing them in the generator above prints them for you.
- Every basket: in the running score, mark the new team total and write the scorer’s jersey number next to it. A common code is a dot for a free throw, a slash for 2 points and a circle for 3 points.
- Every foul: mark one of the player’s five foul boxes and one team foul box for the period. Most leagues foul a player out on the fifth foul.
- End of each period: add up each player’s points in the period column and draw a line under the running score.
- End of the game: total the points, check that the player totals match the running score, and write the final score.
