This Privacy Policy explains what information sidelinetools.com (“Sideline Tools”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
1. Information you enter in our tools
The bracket generator, round robin generator and other tools run entirely in your web browser. Team names, player names and scores you type are processed on your device and are not sent to or stored on our servers. To let you pick up where you left off, the tools save your last bracket or schedule in your browser’s local storage. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.
When you use a share link, the bracket or schedule is encoded in the link itself. Anyone with the link can see that content, so don’t include information you don’t want to share.
2. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers process technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. Our content delivery and security provider is Cloudflare, Inc.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We currently use only technically necessary storage (local storage for your tool data and any security cookies set by our infrastructure). See our Cookie Policy for details. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.
4. Advertising
We may show ads served by Google and its partners in the future. If we do, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. This section will be updated before any advertising is enabled.
5. Email
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and keep a record of the conversation. We don’t add you to any mailing list.
6. Legal basis and retention (EEA/UK visitors)
We process technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website, and email correspondence to respond to your request. Server logs are kept for a limited time, normally no longer than 30 days, unless needed to investigate abuse.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact [email protected].
8. Children
Our tools are general-audience utilities and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
