Free printable baseball lineup card, ready in a minute. Type your batting order with jersey numbers and positions, add the bench, and print four lineup cards on one page: one for the umpire, one for the opponent, one for your dugout and one for the scorekeeper. Leave it empty for a blank baseball lineup card template.
What’s on the lineup card
- Team, opponent, home or visitor and date at the top of every card.
- Batting order with jersey number, starter, position and a substitute column to write in who came in and in which inning.
- Bench / substitutes list and the manager’s name.
Choose Full page + defense by inning for a coach’s sheet with every player’s position in each inning, useful when you rotate players or have to track pitching and playing time.
How to fill out a baseball lineup card
- List the batting order from 1 to 9 (or more if your league bats the roster), one line per player: jersey number, name and position, for example 7 Jake SS.
- Use standard position abbreviations: P, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF and DH for the designated hitter.
- Add every eligible substitute on the bench list, with jersey numbers. Many leagues only allow players listed on the card to enter the game.
- Exchange the cards at the plate meeting: the umpire and the opposing manager each get a copy, and the umpire’s card is the official lineup.
- During the game, write substitutions in the Sub column with the inning they entered.
Baseball positions and numbers
Scorekeepers use numbers for positions: 1 pitcher, 2 catcher, 3 first base, 4 second base, 5 third base, 6 shortstop, 7 left field, 8 center field and 9 right field. On the lineup card you can write either the number or the abbreviation; abbreviations are easier to read at a glance in the dugout.

Frequently asked questions
How many copies of the lineup card do I need?
Usually three or four: one for the plate umpire, one for the opposing team, one for your dugout and often one for the official scorer. The default layout prints four on one page; cut along the gray lines.
Can I print a blank baseball lineup card?
Yes. Press Blank lineup card and print. You get an empty lineup card template to fill in by hand.
Does it work for more than 9 batters?
Yes. Choose up to 15 rows. With more than 10 batters the page prints two taller cards instead of four.
